East Coast Excursion

So, I got a little behind on some posts. March 23-27th we escaped to the Outer Banks. We visited multiple National Parks, Lighthouses, and played a few games. The highlight of the trip was taking the kiddos to Kitty Hawk and thenflying  at Jockeys Ridge, Mia and Caden got in on the action. This was nothing but a fun trip. Since the big trip

We made a run to Kentucky. 

Hiked the Pinhoti Trail

Camped and played. 

Made Beer.

The next trip

Plans are made, the R.V. is prepped, and we are ready to hit the road on Monday 3-30-15. 

Caleb at Kennedy Space Center

Caleb left out with his school on a trip to the coast. He was at Kennedy Space Center yesterday. While there he saw one of our countries national treasures in the form of a Space Shuttle. He also had lunch with one of the shuttle astronauts. 

Patches

Finally started putting the kids 2014 patches together. We settled on this method.

Collecting National Park cancellation stamps

Around New Years this year I started travelling to National Parks on day trips. The kids started getting into the fun of travel and collecting the cancellation stamps for each park. That is part of the reason we planned this trip. So the photos in this blog show all of the stamps collected to date. Once you find the park, you have the challenge of finding the different stamps that may be present.
