Camping with the dead and vehicle maintenance

Yesterday after a nice long day of visiting parks and while cruising down I-10 we had another blow out. While waiting on roadside we spotted a roadrunner and we were treated to four kiddos makng the meep meep sound. We also learned about an item the locals call goats head burrs. Those blasted seed pods with 1/4" spines suck!

We left and had dinner in Las Cruces, NM and I had the privelage to teach my son about the history of Billy the Kid and Pat Garrett.

We drove on and camped at Rose Valley RV in Silver City, which shares a fence with a cemetary that was decorated with hundreds of green and red LED lights.

After breakfast the kiddos took photos of wild flowers and were thrilled to see Jack Rabbits with their long black tipped ears.

We decided to cut out a trip to Gila Cliff Dwellings and instead purchased a new set of tires to nip any future issues in the rear. I thoroughly enjoyed the colorful language the tire tech used when he found the "goats head burrs" that were stuck in the blown tire.

At this point we traveles on headed to Petrified Forest National Park and the Grand Canyon.
