RV park Fort Davis, Texas

This little side trip was 80 miles out of the way, but it was worth it. The drive through the scrub lands was tedious but we were treated to outstanding views of buttes, wildflowers, cacti, deer, and dust devils.

When we turned off of I-10 we drove through amazing sun blackened jagged sandstone spires and rose to 4800' in elevation. At this point the park we are visiting tomorrow is a side note to scenery encountered on the drive through.

The RV park is family owned and faces a 500 cliff face. I am typing this blog while we are grilling pork chops and twighlight is just descending.

The kiddos recommend a trip to see this location, the photos in this post do not do justice.
